Hands On Futures at Grand Rapids Middle School with CTA

At Grand Rapids Middle School, students are getting a true hands-on introduction to Career and Technical Education through shop class. From designing 3D models in Solidworks and prototyping with 3D printers to learning CNC coordinates, woodworking, welding, and electrical work, they are exploring a wide range of technical skills and career pathways. Support from the Northeast Service Cooperative has helped expand these experiences far beyond traditional shop projects, especially in welding.
