Uganda is following two major developing stories involving former Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago and the late comedian Kapere Lufotose. In this video, we bring you the latest updates on Erias Lukwago's health, his wife's concerns, his continued detention and the efforts by his lawyers to secure bail. His wife, Zawedde Lubwama Lukwago, recently said he was receiving treatment in Lubowa after being transferred from Mulago Hospital. She also raised concerns about the effects of prolonged pain medication, although those medical claims have not been independently confirmed. We also look at the latest statements by Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba concerning Lukwago. Muhoozi made allegations about KCCA road funds, but no evidence was presented in the report to support those claims. Lukwago has not been convicted of stealing KCCA funds. His legal case and bail efforts continue to attract public attention. Meanwhile, Uganda continues to mourn comedian Yokana Mbuuse, popularly known as Kapere Lufotose. According to the latest burial reports, Kapere's farewell programme included a service at the National Unity Platform (NUP) headquarters in Makerere-Kavule, followed by a burial scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, at 4:00 PM in Kiyunga, Mukono District. His widow, Lydia Nakandi, also spoke during the funeral service about the family's struggles and the challenges Kapere faced before his death. Kapere will be remembered for his contribution to the Amarula Family comedy group and the laughter he brought to Ugandans. Watch the full video for these updates and more.
