In this lecture, the HNCO experiment is discussed in detail enunciating the build up modules (INEPT, constant time evolution, reverse INEPT) that aids in obtaining the correlation between amine 1HN ("i"th residue) with amine 15N ("i") with carbonyl 13C ("i-1") spins in the backbone of the protein. The idea of HN(CA)CO is also discussed on how its combination with HNCO would aid in sequential assignment. Similarly, the pair HNCA and HN(CO)CA is also briefly discussed, finishing with HNCACB and CBCA(CO)NH.
