Five Ways I Nearly Escaped the Rat Race and Why I Chose None of Them

I spent years thinking about how to escape the rat race. Van life, living on a canal boat, going off-grid in Scotland or Ireland, even buying a sailing boat, I seriously considered all of them. In this video, I look back at the five different lives I nearly chose, why each one appealed to me, and the reasons I eventually ruled them out. In the end, I realised I didn’t just want a different house, vehicle or lifestyle. I wanted something much more fundamental.
