   • Trick to learn colours of d- block element...   In this video, we will understand Metal Carbonyls and Synergic Bonding in a simple and easy way. ⚗️✨ Metal carbonyls are coordination compounds in which carbon monoxide (CO) acts as a ligand and bonds with a metal through a special type of interaction called synergic bonding. We will discuss how bonding takes place through two simultaneous processes: σ-donation: CO donates a lone pair of electrons to the metal. π-back bonding: The metal donates electron density back into the vacant π* orbital of CO. These two processes support each other and make the metal–CO bond stronger. 📌 Topics covered: What are metal carbonyls? Nature of CO as a ligand σ-donation from CO to metal π-back bonding from metal to CO Meaning of synergic bonding Effect on metal–CO bond Important examples of metal carbonyls Easy explanation for exams This topic is important for Class 12 Chemistry, Coordination Compounds, JEE, NEET and other competitive exams. #MetalCarbonyls #SynergicBonding #BackBonding #CoordinationCompounds #Class12Chemistry #NEETChemistry #JEEChemistry #InorganicChemistry #ChemicalBonding
