Understanding the UL Fire Resistance Directory

This webinar hosted by National Gypsum Company's technical marketing team on August 22, 2024, highlights how to select UL certified fire designs using the online UL Fire Resistance Directory resource, UL Product iQ. UL no longer publishes the bright orange books; therefore, the best way to find the most current UL certified fire designs is to access UL’s next-generation online certification directory. This presentation describes the most effective and efficient way to locate fire rated roof-ceilings, walls and partitions, floor-ceilings, beams and columns certified to US based requirements for an hourly fire-resistance rating per UL 263. The fire-resistant properties of gypsum board are covered as well as the various modifications permitted in certified UL fire-rated assemblies. On-demand webinars do not qualify for AIA credit.
