This week was a successful one. Minimal spending, I stuck to the budget, no overspending, and showed up to keep myself accountable. There are still things I want to work on. Things such as creating a strict payoff plan to be completed by the end of 2027. Paying off our consumer debt would be a huge undertaking but it is possible. We would have to stick to our budget and have a fund set aside for incidentals (not our emergency fund). We have to agree that 2027 would be a sacrificial one but also one that would allow us the life that we have been looking forward to. Being out of debt would mean a ton of money would be put back in our wallet. Giving us room to decide on our bigger goals, like traveling, investments, retirement etc. It's something we're motivated on, but can we do it without getting side railed? I don't know.
