Basically, it's meant to be that Kirk has arrived at the academy as a new cadet and then he notices Spock and is instantly attracted to him, so he tries to get Spock's attention. But Spock thinks Kirk is just a cocky cadet who is very immature and dismisses the idea of the two of them being together. But once he gets to know him and Kirk matures a wee bit Spock starts having feelings for him too. Not one of my better vids but hope you enjoy it nonetheless.
