📍 Exploring the Mising Tribal Community in Majuli, Assam
In this video, I document my immersive stay with the Mising (Miri) tribe on Majuli Island, the world’s largest river island located on the Brahmaputra in Assam, India.
During this cultural journey, I lived in a traditional chang ghar (stilt house), experienced authentic tribal hospitality, and learned about the Mising community’s daily lifestyle, food culture, weaving traditions, and traditional fishing practices. This experience showcases their sustainable way of living, nature-based knowledge system, and deep connection to the river and land.

🎯 About the Mising Community
The Mising people are one of the major ethnic groups of Assam, known for their agricultural lifestyle, folklore, weaving skills, and harmonious relationship with nature.
🌿 Why This Journey Matters
Majuli represents cultural purity and natural beauty. Through this film, I aim to promote indigenous culture, responsible travel, and the importance of preserving our traditional communities.
