"Der Gute Kamerad" ("The Good Comrade") - Ludwig Uhland, 1809 (Wolfnacht rendition)

"Der Gute Kamerad" ("The Good Comrade"), also known as "Ich Hatt' Einen Kameraden" ("I Had A Comrade"), is a traditional German soldiers' lament that was originally a poem by Ludwig Uhland from 1809, before being set to the music of a Swiss folk song by Friedrich Silcher in 1825. This rendition is performed by a group called "Wolfnacht".
