After two weeks of constant use, the Fenix 8 delivers tracking accuracy and battery life on par with the Epix Pro, but the button changes feel less tactile and a nighttime dimming issue makes the screen harder to read in low light. The AMOLED display is sharp and easy to read in sunlight, the flashlight is slightly improved, and the OS refresh adds minor navigation tweaks without breaking familiarity. Voice commands and phone assistant features are not game-changers. If you own an Epix Pro or recent Fenix, this is an incremental update, not a must-buy. Extreme cold testing with gloves will determine whether the new button design holds up.
