Lake Escape

“Lake Escape” is an original country song written by Jerry Hewitt Jr. about finding peace on the water and the memories that make a fishing spot feel like home. For me, fishing has always been about more than catching fish. It’s the memories with my daddy, the time spent with my son, the conversations on the bank, the jokes, the stories, and those quiet moments when the weight of everyday life seems to disappear. Life changes. Kids grow up. Parents get older. But sometimes you can return to that same stretch of water, cast a line, and those memories come right back. “Fishin’ frees my soul, takes me far away, From the weight of this world I carry every day.” If you’ve ever had a lake, fishing hole, riverbank, or special place where you go to clear your mind, this song is for you.
