The Art of Tim & Greg Hildebrandt (Slideshow)

The Brothers Hildebrandt embodied Star Wars art for me having seen their iconic Star wars poster before anything else. I remember the excitement seeing it printed as a full page ad in the movie section of our local newspaper (The Sun, Melbourne Australia) "STARTS TODAY". Ive still got it somewhere in a scrapbook. They were also best known for their illustration work for the famous Tolkien's calendars starting in 1975, arguably setting the visual benchmark for Tolkien's worlds for decades to come. They went on to be as prolific in their solo years as they were working in tandem.
