“NO ONE Had EVER Done This Job THIS WELL...” A Resident THANKED ME

I received another job at an apartment building, where I was tasked with trimming the hedges, shrubs, and groundcover. I started by trimming the small shrubs; for this, I used a lightweight Makita trimmer, which is more agile and cuts fine leaves more precisely. I set out to trim small shrubs of various shapes and types; they weren’t overly overgrown, but I still needed to restore them to their original shape. I made my way to the corner of the house and began cleaning up, since even though it was hot, it was also a bit windy, so I gathered everything into bags, and then I started trimming the small barberry hedges in front of the house; for this, however, I used the Stihl trimmer, since the hedge branches were a bit thicker. Next, I trimmed the laurel hedge, then I used the Makita trimmer again to trim the groundcover, then I shaped the steps as I reached the other corner of the house and trimmed a few shrubs along the house wall. After that, I went back to cleaning up, but since I didn’t have a trailer, I raked two large piles of clippings and leaves so I could come back later with the trailer and load everything up. Then I started trimming the large hedge inside the yard; here I used a large Stihl telescopic trimmer, since it’s easier to cut a large amount at once with it, and besides, this hedge was two meters wide, I even had to step inside the hedge to trim it and collect the branches from it; I also raked up a large pile of clippings next to it. When I had almost finished cleaning up and was standing by my car taking a short break, one of the residents came up to me and thanked me for the work I’d done; he said that no one had ever trimmed it so well or cleaned up so thoroughly. Then I grabbed the grass trimmer and mowed all the grass on the walkway between the yards so that it would be easier for me to clean everything up at the end, once I finished trimming. There were always a lot of people walking by here, but sometimes I didn’t see them through my safety helmet and goggles, so one woman stopped and called out to me to stop mowing for a moment and let her pass, since a lot of sand and small stones were flying out from under the trimmer. Toward the end of the hedge, there were a lot of nettles and weeds, so I used the hedge trimmer to cut them down. Afterward, I gathered all the cut grass into a pile, but there was a lot of trash there, so I collected all the plastic, paper, and metal into a bag, which I later emptied into the trash can, and finally started trimming the hedge. The hardest part was trimming near the cars, since there wasn’t much space (I should have posted a notice on the front door so people would know I was coming to work and could park their cars a little farther away, but I showed up on the spur of the moment that day). When the trimming was finished, I raked up a few piles again and drove off to pick up the trailer, which was parked at another address; when I returned, I loaded everything up and blew it away. This job took me about 9 hours and filled up the entire trailer.
