Janet has been searching for a new apartment in Da Nang, and after viewing several places, she finally found one she really liked. In this video, we take a look inside her new 2-bedroom apartment, including the spacious living area, modern interior, balcony, and incredible city views. The apartment is 22M VND per month (about $850), compared with another apartment that was listed at 27M VND (about $1,050). So what explains the difference? We also dig into one of the questions many foreigners have when renting in Vietnam: Do foreigners actually pay more? Is there really a "foreigner tax" on rent, or is there more to the story? After looking at the apartments, comparing prices, and seeing what you actually get for the money, this gives you a much better idea of what 22M VND can get you in Da Nang.
