Joe Makoviecki Jackson Pines Folk Music Revealed the Oral Traditions

Whitesbog Preservation Trust recorded NJ Pinelands Folklife interviews and workshops this year. Folks who were gracious enough to sit down with our team included artist and musician Joe Makoviecki and his band Jackson Pines. Part 1 of the video is an interview with Joe talking about the music they play and the research he did into the historic folk music of the Pines, at 32:32 is a performance by Jackson Pines playing The Pine Barren Song, then more of the interview with Joe, then at 43:00 there is a snippet of Mt. Holly Jail. Interviews were conducted by Bri Poole and video recording and editing by Michael Clay of Driven By Design Creative Agency.
