The Break A Leggers review the 2019 RSC production of Shakespeare’s The Taming Of The Shrew. Justin Audibert (Snow in Midsummer, The Jew of Malta) turns Shakespeare's comedy of gender and materialism on its head to offer a fresh perspective on its portrayal of hierarchy and power. Baptista Minola is seeking to sell off her son Katherine to the highest bidder. Cue an explosive battle of the sexes in this electrically charged love story. This production plays at the RSC until the 31st of August 2019 then heads out on a UK tour until the 4th of April 2020.
