Tonight’s recovery call took us off the roadway and down a steep embankment where this Silverado had partially disappeared into the woods. At first glance, it looked like a pretty straightforward winch-out for the rollback… until we realized the keys were missing and the front wheels were locked hard to the left. That changed everything. Instead of simply dragging the truck backwards, we had to bring both trucks into play. The rollback handled the main pull while the wrecker controlled the front end to keep the Silverado from digging in, twisting sideways, or heading deeper into the tree line.
