New Infill Station! - Dos Rios Station Opening Day | SACRT Light Rail Trains | Sacramento CA

Sep 28, 2026 Sacramento Regional Transit light rail trains on the SACRT Blue Line arrive and depart the brand new Dos Rios Station on opening day in Sacramento, California near Richard Boulevard. The ribbon cutting ceremony was earlier this month. Other projects are planned around the station to Infill the land around it eventually. This station held its ribbon cutting ceremony weeks in advance to opening on September 10, 2026. As you can see, trains do not have announcements onboard yet to announce the station. I wish they would have adjusted the Richards Blvd crossing activation for the northbound trains a little more. It shouldn't activate when the train is still rolling into the station but around the time the train stops at the mini-hi ramp but then again, this might be in advance for when low floor trains start to run on the Blue Line next year since they stop in the mid section of the stations instead the end sections. Of course I wish they would have made the pedestrian crossing on the north side of the station a signalized crossing and also I wish Sproule Ave was also a signalized crossing since the tracks now pass through it in there own ROW similar to how Oxford St is but they kept the blank out signal protection and crossbucks with traffic signals which I actually expected anyways because I already knew the station plans a couple of years ago. Maybe this could be revisited in the future like Oxford St and Royal Oaks Dr but unlikely if they didn't do it now.
