M5OD-R2 Oil Change Using Pennzoil Synchromesh

How to change the manual transmission fluid in a Ford F150 using Pennzoil Synchromesh instead of Mercon. Dd it fix my not wanting to go into 1st gear from neutral at a complete stop?
