Solo Equestrian Camping ASMR | Finding Peace and Confidence in the Saddle | Lake Somerville Texas

Sometimes the adventure you need isn’t a big one. Sometimes it’s just loading up your horse, driving somewhere new, setting a tent, and deciding to stay for the night. I took Coco, my bay dun mare, to the Nails Creek Unit at Lake Somerville State Park for our first solo tent-camping adventure together. It was the middle of a Texas summer, so it was hot. Really hot. There were spiderwebs across the trails, one particularly memorable spider encounter 🕷️, and plenty of moments when this trip was more “mostly relaxing” than relaxing. But that’s also what made it meaningful. For me, becoming a more confident horsewoman hasn’t been about suddenly becoming fearless. It has been about doing things that stretch me a little, learning to trust my horse and myself, and discovering just how much peace I find when the noise of everyday life gets replaced by hoofbeats, trees and time with Coco. That’s what I want this channel to be about. If you’re a woman who loves horses but sometimes finds that confidence, busy life, or simply not knowing where to begin keeps you from having the adventures you imagine, I hope you’ll come along. We’ll trail ride, explore new places, learn together, talk honestly about confidence, and occasionally pack up the horse trailer and sleep under the stars. This particular adventure was only one night.
