Today the Wandersocken start at the rail replacement service from Hüttingen and experience e.g. the romantic waterfall at the village stream next to the church of St. Antonius church (built in 1777, extended 1956-1960), pleasantly shady paths in the idyllic Wingertsberg nature reserve, a few abandoned relics of former quarries, all kinds of pretty grass paths and orchards, many panoramic views of Bitburg, the Spangdahlem Nato Air Base or the Eifel leisure park in Gondorf, the original Gondorf chapel, very diverse grain-growing areas, the historically exciting Dudeldorf with its partially preserved town wall, a picturesque castle complex (originally from the 12th century, extended in the 17th/18th century), a highly recommendable restaurant in the near of the Obertor, a somewhat boring asphalt passage, the pretty Comeshof and another beautiful trail in the Aulbach valley just before Philippsheim, where the cool river Kyll is the best remedy for hot feet...
