Here are 4 guidelines that you should consider when adjusting your string clamps. Gauge - Tighter for thin and looser for thick Tension - Tighter for high (65+) and looser for low String Type - Looser for multifilament and natural gut String Coating - Tighter for slippery strings COMMENTS: At 8:05, I want to clarify that the 1 pound decrease in reference tension applies only to the first four mains that were pre-stretched.
