Julia Brüssel & Abass Dodoo - Ayeh

Julia Brüssel - violin, Fx, Loop Abass Dodoo - percussion, Sample Pad V'n'D Music A duet was founded in Kokrobite, Ghana, by Ghanaian-London based musician Abass Dodoo and German-Berlin based violinist Julia Brüssel. They create their own transcultural music, blending the unique instrumentation of violin and percussion, which are symbolic of their origins in classical music/European folklore and African traditionals. They constantly expand their concept and repertoire by using live looping and Fx to create extended orchestral sounds while still retaining a pure unplugged setup. "Leyla" is a composition by Julia Brüssel and Abass Dodoo dedicated to a mutual friend Alina Leyla Nur H. Rehearsal filmed in January 2023 in Hackney London Special Thanks to Amira Bagira and One Drum Foundation Requests: VnD.falvor@gmail.com
