Parents vs Medical Students: Why They Don’t Understand Each Other

Why do parents and children often struggle to understand each other—especially during NEET preparation and MBBS? The world has changed rapidly. Education is increasingly online, social media has become part of professional life, AI is changing how students learn, and the pressures faced by today’s medical students can be very different from what parents experienced in their own student years. In this video, I discuss the parent–child communication gap from both perspectives, based on my interactions with students as well as parents. Both sides have genuine concerns. The solution is better communication, understanding and adapting to the realities of modern education and the medical profession.
