This song (Vafii Anthem) is all about Seven Hunters from Mao who chased the the God gifted 7 branch horn stag from Mao till the present Vafiimai Village. They chased the stag crossing so many ranges and when they reached the present Vafii Village, the Sun was set and they could not return back to the their original Village. So they slept over there (Present Vafii Village) without food but they had the green leafy vegetables in order to fill their empty stomach. That very night in the forest, the oldest man had a dream and he considered it as a good omen. So the next morning, the oldest man among the seven hunters dug out the soil and found so many ants which he considered it a blessed gift from above. So they went back to their native village and call the delegates from different clans and settled at the present Vafii Village ( Laii Village) The seven branch horn stag was a special gift from God to our people and we ought to Praise His mighty name for giving us this beautiful and blessed land to Laii People.
