What is the Flight Information Management System (FIMS)

Australia’s uncrewed aviation ecosystem has reached an important milestone. Airservices Australia’s Flight Information Management System (FIMS) is now delivering digital services through connected UAS Service Suppliers (USS), helping create safer, smarter and more connected drone operations across the country. Built through collaboration between industry, government, and regulators, FIMS provides the foundation for uncrewed traffic management (UTM) in Australia, supporting a future where drones, traditional aircraft and emerging technologies can safely share the same airspace. Discover how FIMS is helping unlock new opportunities for drone operators while maintaining the highest standards of aviation safety.
