yedhukrrish sits down for a nice, normal game of chess. Two players, one board, a few opening principles. Surely nothing too alarming. Then I unleash the *Rousseau Gambit*: 3...f5. And judging by the way this game unfolds, White seems to spend the opening trying to figure out whether I'm a genius, a lunatic, or someone who has accidentally loaded the wrong game. The position gets weird in a hurry. Pawns fly, knights leap into danger, and both sides start making threats that look like they were designed by competing committees that refuse to communicate. White appears increasingly bamboozled as the opening turns into a tactical maze. Meanwhile, I'm quite happy to make the board look like a chess set has fallen down the stairs. Then comes the real sting: White's queen and bishop get caught in a tactical nightmare, and my pieces systematically dismantle the position. The queens disappear, the rooks get traded, and the game becomes a brutal endgame where my king and pawns march forward with the quiet confidence of an approaching tax audit. White tries to hold the line, but my passed pawns have other plans. One pawn promotes, then another queen appears, and suddenly the board is less a chess position than a small-scale royal population crisis. By the end, I'm coordinating multiple queens while White's king runs out of places to hide. *62...Qfb1#*. Checkmate. From a bewildering opening to a ridiculous queen-filled finale, this game is a reminder that the Rousseau Gambit doesn't always make sense. Sometimes, that's precisely the point.
