DESTINY WAS DEAD… SO WHY IS BUNGIE BRINGING IT BACK?

Three months ago, Bungie told Destiny players that Destiny 2's June update would be its final live-service content update. Now Bungie is saying: We're not done with Destiny. The studio is beginning the process of restoring vaulted Destiny 2 campaigns, destinations and raids — including the original Red War campaign. After years of players asking Bungie to bring back the game's lost history, Destiny's Content Vault may finally be getting dismantled. But there's a LOT more going on here. Bungie has suffered massive layoffs. A Washington State WARN filing identified 292 employees affected at its Bellevue location. Marathon hasn't attracted as many players as Bungie hoped. Sony has recorded hundreds of millions of dollars in impairment losses connected to Bungie. And now the studio says Destiny is "foundational to Bungie's future." So did Destiny fans actually change Bungie's plans? Or is Bungie trying to rebuild goodwill while it figures out what comes next? 🔥 IN THIS VIDEO The Red War is coming back Vaulted Destiny content is being restored Why Bungie reversed course Did the Destiny community actually win? Bungie's massive layoffs The pressure surrounding Marathon Sony's $765 million write-down What Bungie's Destiny announcement really means Do you believe Bungie is genuinely rebuilding Destiny for the long term, or is this about buying the studio some time?
