Retail Minus is my attempt to experience modern World of Warcraft at a slower, more deliberate pace—one expansion at a time, without the shortcuts that can make leveling feel like a race to the endgame. The goal is to explore Azeroth, enjoy the stories, earn my own progress, and rediscover the adventure along the way. The Retail Minus Rules *One Expansion Only:* Stay within a single expansion for the entire journey. *No Heirlooms:* Every upgrade must be earned through normal gameplay. *No Dungeon Finder:* Dungeons are allowed through the Dungeon Finder only when needed for quests. *No Mounts Until Level 40:* Walk before you ride! *No Flying:* Travel through the world on the ground. *Level Cap: 59:* No leveling beyond level 59. *No Skipping Fast Levels:* Don't skip content just because leveling gets faster. *No Free Bags:* Earn or obtain bags through the adventure rather than accepting free handouts. *Solo Self-Found as Much as Possible:* Make your own way, earn your own gear, and rely on your own efforts wherever practical. The Philosophy Slow down. Read the quests. Explore the world. Make questionable decisions. Do mediocre voice acting. We're here for the journey, not just the destination.
