Reactive Abuse: How Narcissists Push You to React & Then Blame You 🎭 "Look at how you're behaving! You're the problem!" But what happened before that reaction? Sometimes, in an unhealthy relationship dynamic, one person repeatedly provokes, insults, criticizes, violates boundaries, or creates emotional pressure. Eventually, the other person reacts emotionally. Then the reaction becomes the entire story. "See? You're crazy." "You're too emotional." "You're the abusive one." "Look at how you behave." This is the pattern many people refer to as reactive abuse. In this video, we explore: ✔️ What reactive abuse means ✔️ How repeated provocation can trigger emotional reactions ✔️ How someone's reaction can later be used against them ✔️ How blame shifting and gaslighting can reinforce the cycle ✔️ Why emotional regulation and detachment can be important ✔️ How boundaries can help break the pattern ✔️ How to recognize the difference between a reaction and a repeated pattern of abuse One important clarification: Reacting emotionally does not mean you deserved to be mistreated. And one reaction alone does not prove that someone is a narcissist or that a relationship is abusive. Look at the repeated pattern and context. A common cycle can look like: Provocation → Reaction → Blame → Confusion → Repeat Learning to control your reaction isn't about "winning" against someone. It's about protecting your emotional well-being and refusing to let another person's behaviour control your response. 🎭 Recognize the pattern. 🧠 Understand your reactions. 🛡️ Protect your boundaries. If this video gives you clarity, share it with someone who may need to understand this pattern. #ReactiveAbuse #Narcissism #Gaslighting #EmotionalManipulation #NarcissisticAbuse #ToxicRelationships #EmotionalAbuseAwareness #HealthyBoundaries #RelationshipAwareness #TQTALKs
