What if the very thing holding us back from fully participating in our faith community is not a lack of gifts, but a failure to recognize the ones we already have? This message takes us on a journey through one of the most personally relevant teachings in the New Testament, drawn from Paul's letter to the church at Corinth, where he makes it unmistakably clear that spiritual gifts are not reserved for a select few. Every believer has been given one. The central challenge Paul addresses is not scarcity of gifts but ignorance of them. We explore what it means that the Holy Spirit distributes gifts to each one for the common good, and why that changes everything about how we see ourselves in relation to the body of Christ. The message draws a striking parallel between a neglected spiritual gift and a limb in a cast, capable of atrophying when left unused. This physical image gives us a vivid and honest look at what happens when we let comparison or fear keep us on the sidelines. Rather than pointing us toward someone else's example to follow, this teaching invites us to turn inward and ask a more courageous question: what has God specifically placed in me, and what does faithfulness with that gift actually look like?
