What should people know about wildcats?

We asked attendees of Devon’s Wildcat Festival what people should know about these elusive native mammals! The festival brought together conservationists, researchers and wildlife enthusiasts, at Rewilding Coombeshead, to explore how we could bring wildcats back to South West England. 🐱 From the history of wildcats in Britain to inspiring recovery stories from across Europe, speakers shared how habitat restoration, woodland connectivity and responsible cat ownership could help support the species' return.
