I went back to my roots. ❤️🇿🇼 This was one of the most emotional journeys of my life. I travelled to Gutu, Zimbabwe, my ancestral home, for the burial of my paternal grandmother. What started as a journey filled with grief unexpectedly became one of the most beautiful and memorable experiences of my life. I had not been back to this homestead since I was just 2 years old. Now, at 40, I returned and met people who last saw me when I was a little boy. Seeing them again after almost four decades was incredibly emotional. Hearing stories about my childhood, reconnecting with relatives and walking through the place where my roots began made me realise just how powerful home and family can be. There was sadness because we were laying my grandmother to rest, but there was also joy, laughter, reconnection and a deep sense of belonging. This is more than a burial vlog. It is a journey back to my roots. Come with me to Gutu as I reconnect with my family, revisit my ancestral home and experience a day I will never forget. 🕊️ Rest in peace, Granny. You brought us together one more time.
