Violin: Usha Rajagopalan
Mridangam: Chennai S Thyagarajan
In this krithi, Thyagaraja Swamy reflects on the limitless power and omniscience of Rama. He reminds the Lord that even a simple blade of grass became a mighty Brahmastra in his hands, proving his supreme capability. Since the Lord already knows the strengths and weaknesses of his devotees, Thyagaraja gently appeals to him to guide and protect them. He especially prays that those who have strayed from the righteous path despite their knowledge be shown the right way.

Meaning:
O beloved of Lakshmi, Are not the sacred mantras Bala and Atibala shining within you? Is there any doubt about it?
O Lord praised by Indra, the slayer of the demon Paka, Do you not know the strengths and weaknesses of your own devotees?
When you discharged even a single blade of grass against the crow-demon, did it not blaze forth as the mighty Brahmastra, the weapon of Lotus-born Brahma? O bestower of prosperity, Why should any concern about those people who, though born as brahmaṇas, do not know the righteous path even arise in you? O Lord praised by Thyagaraja, O beloved of Lakshmi, Are not the sacred mantras Bala and Atibala ever resplendent in you? Is there any doubt about this? O Lord praised by Indra, Do you not already know the strengths and weaknesses of your own devotees?
