ToughBite Session: The Bite Was Tough at Noon… Then These 2 Rigs Worked

In this session, I’m fishing Lake Skinner in Southern California using a BFS Jika Rig and a Dropshot to target bass during some of the toughest hours of the day. Despite the heat and slow conditions, I managed to put 2 bass on the bank. Fishing pressured Southern California waters often means slowing down, making adjustments, and taking advantage of small opportunities. Sometimes, getting just a couple of bites is the result of figuring out where the fish are and presenting a bait they’re willing to eat.
