A Taste of French Mainline Steam August 2017

During the summer of 2017, the Pacific Vapeur Club (PVC) of Sotteville-les-Rouen, hired ex-SNCF pacific 231K8 for some mainline excursions, visiting Le Havre and Dieppe. I traveled on the trip to the seaside town of Dieppe on Saturday 9 Aug. With no turning facilities available in Dieppe the return to Sotteville was made tender-first. Despite the poor unseasonably cool weather, it was an enjoyable day.
