I'm continuing work on my wooden kitchen countertop, reusing my existing sink and plumbing to keep the renovation budget-friendly, and getting some help with the installation. I'm also working on the finishing details, including staining the wood and applying silicone sealant around the sink (which turned out to be much messier than those YouTube tutorials made it look). After a few busy days of DIY woodworking and kitchen renovation, I'm taking a little break to make coffee and go hiking in Briesetal, just outside Berlin. This isn't a step-by-step renovation tutorial, but a little home diary documenting the process of slowly building and improving my apartment, one project at a time.
