YOUR FREEDOM WILL SET OTHERS FREE God wants to renew your mind and free you from bitterness, pain, and the stories of the past. Bitterness produces death and troubles many people, but the truth of God brings healing and freedom. Stop continually repeating the painful things that happened to you. Do not allow your wounds to determine your words. Fill your mouth with God’s Word, thanksgiving, and praise, because death and life are in the power of the tongue. Paul and Silas were beaten and unjustly imprisoned, yet they did not complain or become bitter. At midnight, they prayed and praised God. Suddenly, an earthquake shook the prison, every door opened, and everyone’s chains were loosened. Their response in suffering did not bring freedom only to them—it affected everyone around them. Even the jailer and his household came to faith in Jesus Christ. When God frees your heart, your life becomes a testimony that helps others find freedom. Allow Him to change your thinking, remove bitterness, and fill your lips with praise. Then people will see the glory of God revealed through your life.
