Maumela Auction Loading: R326 million Cars, Mansions GONE & He Did NOT Even Try To Stop It

The Gauteng High Court has permanently forfeited R326 million worth of luxury assets linked to businessman Hangwani Morgan Maumela and the alleged Maumela syndicate. The forfeiture order includes luxury homes in Bantry Bay, Sandhurst, Pecanwood, Zimbali, Ballito and Three Anchor Bay, as well as four Lamborghinis, a Bentley Continental GT, an Isuzu D-Max, a luxury boat and other high-value assets. The investigation stems from allegations of procurement fraud and corruption at Tembisa Provincial Tertiary Hospital, following reports submitted by the late Babita Deokaran, the Gauteng Department of Health official who exposed suspicious payments before she was murdered in 2021. According to the National Prosecuting Authority, the recovered assets will be sold and the proceeds paid into the Criminal Asset Recovery Account, where the money will be ringfenced for the Gauteng Department of Health.
