Coming Soon: For three unforgettable days, from May 22–24, 2026, the Bor Community in the United States gathered in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, for a major cultural conference that brought together tradition, identity, music, dance, and community spirit in one powerful celebration.
This special presentation captures the entertainment and cultural performances that lit up the conference through traditional Ayaya dancing, Jale songs, collective chanting, and vibrant cultural displays performed by elders, youth, women, men, and children from across the diaspora.
The atmosphere was energetic, emotional, and deeply rooted in the traditions of the Dinka Bor people. From the coordinated cultural processions to the powerful rhythm of the songs, every performance reflected pride, unity, and the determination to preserve culture across generations living far from home.
Young people born outside South Sudan stood proudly beside elders, embracing traditions passed down through storytelling, songs, movement, and communal celebration. What unfolded inside the hall was more than entertainment. It was a living archive of heritage, memory, and belonging.
The conference demonstrated the strength and organisation of the Bor Community in the diaspora, while also reminding younger generations of the importance of protecting identity, language, and cultural traditions for the future.
This video forms part of an ongoing effort to document and preserve South Sudanese cultural heritage through professional storytelling and visual archiving.
Prepare to witness one of the most powerful cultural celebrations from the South Sudanese community in America.
Watch. Share. Preserve the culture.
