The Power of Media and Muppets: Bringing Early Learning to Refugee Families

Sesame Workshop and NYU have joined forces to tackle one of the biggest issues of our time—the refugee crisis. Building on Sesame’s long history of creating localized media for children around the world and NYU’s expertise in evaluating early childhood programs, Ahlan Simsim —or “Welcome Sesame” in Arabic—is bringing early learning and nurturing care to children affected by conflict across the Middle East, in partnership with the International Rescue Committee.
