Stopped by the police! - Peru - Ice 2 Fire Episode 74

Our first encounter with being stopped by the police for a 'tourist' payment. We're always told to try and avoid paying these as it makes it harder for the next traveller behind you. It's particularly prevalent north of Peru. Ice 2 Fire is the first leg of our Round the World trip - Prudhoe Bay to Ushuaia. We have sold everything (and I mean everything) and packed our panniers. Our bikes, two Yamaha T7s, were flown out to Anchorage along with ourselves. It's been a rocky road of many ups and downs to reach this point. We have dealt with breast cancer and broken ankles amongst other things, and for the last five years we have been Chasing the Dream. The dream is now happening and we can't quite believe that we're on this journey.
