More than a Movie: The community that saved The Belmont

When the projectors went dark on Belmont Street, Aberdeen lost far more than a cinema, it lost its cultural heartbeat. In the wake of a sudden closure and corporate silence, an entire city was left staring at a blank screen. But this isn't just a story about bricks, mortar, or celluloid reels, it is a powerful testament to people, place, and the irreplaceable magic of sharing the dark. In this documentary, I follow Matt Buchanan (CEO) and Michelle Soto (Community Development Manager) as they reveal the story behind Belmont Cinema, the community's fight to save it, and the passionate ongoing campaign to bring the big screen back to life. 💻 Website: https://johnnymundayvisuals.base44.app/ 📲 Instagram:   / johnny_munday_visuals   📧Email: Mundayjohnny@yahoo.co.uk 👍 If you enjoyed this doc, please LIKE, COMMENT, and SUBSCRIBE to support independent filmmaking!
