If you're planning an Ooty Coonoor trip, this vlog will help you understand what is worth visiting, what you can skip during peak season, and how to explore Coonoor by car while enjoying the beautiful Nilgiri views along the way. 🌿 I started my journey from Ooty towards Coonoor by car. While the famous Nilgiri Mountain Railway / Toy Train is one of the best ways to experience this route, I couldn't book a ticket because my Coonoor plan happened suddenly. But travelling by car had its own charm—you can stop wherever you want and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Nilgiris. ❤️ My first stop was Sims Park, Coonoor, followed by the beautiful Coonoor tea gardens. I also share some interesting information about the history of tea plantations in the Nilgiris, why tea cultivation became important here and, of course, why a trip to the Nilgiris is incomplete without a good cup of chai! ☕️ From the tea gardens, I continued towards Dolphin's Nose. I also share my honest experience of visiting this spot, including the ₹40 entry ticket and why I feel you may want to skip it specifically during peak season if you're short on time. The best part of the drive was that the road was surrounded by endless tea plantations. And after seeing so many tea plants, all I could think was… fresh tea and pakodas! 😄 So I stopped at Glendale Tea Factory, where I enjoyed some delicious tea and pakodas, tasted different varieties of tea and also purchased some freshly made tea powders. I also show you the tea shop at Glendale Tea Factory, where you can find different varieties of tea, including masala tea, and learn more about how different teas are prepared. On my way back, I stopped by the beautiful historic Coonoor Railway Station. Unfortunately, I reached after closing time and couldn't go inside, but even from outside, the old-world charm of the station looked beautiful. If you get a chance, don't miss the historic railway experience while visiting Coonoor.
