A Calif. Zephyr in Ft. Morgan on 26SEPT2026

This morning's California Zephyr #5 made its station stop in Fort Morgan at 0558 MDT (14 min. late). P42s #44 & #13 powered the 8-car train to a stop with car 7 (coach) to the west platform for service to 5 new fares. There were no detraining passengers. With the station work complete, the departure order was given and on a clear signal, The Zephyr continued its run west with the next stop being Union Station in Denver. There were two Phase VII cars in this consist. Sleeper #32011 "Channel Islands" (first time in the Zephyr train to my knowledge) and the combination coach/baggage running as the last car.
