Así Es la Humanidad 1:18:34 Beny Moré, known as "El Sonero Mayor de Cuba" or "El Bárbaro del ritmo," was born on August 24, 1919, in Santa Isabel de las Lajas, Cuba, and is considered one of the greatest exponents of Cuban music, especially notable for son montuno, mambo, and bolero. From a young age, he displayed an innate talent for music. He taught himself to play the guitar and at seventeen moved to Havana, where he began singing in bars and cafes, passing the hat. His big break came when he joined the Trío Matamoros, which allowed him to travel to Mexico and consolidate his career. In 1952, having been a star in several countries such as Mexico, Venezuela, Panama, Colombia, and Brazil, he returned to Cuba where he achieved success in venues and on radio stations. He formed La Banda Gigante, made up of more than 40 musicians, with which he achieved great popularity in various countries such as Colombia, Mexico, and the United States. He died prematurely in Havana at the age of 44, but leaving behind an unforgettable legacy in music.
