How 400,000 AMISH Prepare For Brutal Winters Without A Power Grid

How do over 400,000 Old Order Amish survive brutal sub-zero winters without electricity, central heating, or modern grocery stores? In this documentary, we explore the intense late-autumn preparations across Amish homesteads—from thermal barn insulation and multi-cord firewood cycles to passive geothermal root cellars, winterized buggies, and the communal mutual aid that keeps families warm through the freeze.
