Welcome to another Curaçao neighborhood tour! 🇨🇼 In this video, we are taking a driving road trip through Mahuma, one of the most central and strategically located residential areas on the island. Many people know Mahuma for its incredibly convenient location. It is situated just minutes away from Hato International Airport, major shopping spots like Esperamos Supermarket, Kooyman Megastore on the Jan Noorduynweg, and Goisco Mega Store. It’s also the perfect central hub whether you want to drive to downtown Otrobanda or head out to the beautiful beaches of Banda Abou! But there is much more to this neighborhood than just convenience. Did you know Mahuma dates back to 1721? In this video, we dive into the rich history of the area—from its origins as the "Ligtenberg" cattle farm and plantation to the bustling neighborhood of 6,000 residents it is today.
