Kirsten Flagstad's dramatic reveal as Leonore (Fidelio, 1950)

Leonore disguised as Fidelio reveals herself as the wife of Florestan with an earth-shattering high B-flat (0:27). The same note then sung dramatically an octave lower to close the scene (1:20). This is dramatic quartet and subsquent love duet from Act 2 of Fidelio (Er sterbe - O namenlose Freude). Fidelio by Beethoven conducted by Wilhelm Furtwängler.
